Lake Fork Birds










  • We have recently discovered a family of wood ducks that are living in our cove on Lake Fork. They consist of the Daddy, Mommy and ELEVEN little adorable babies! We went out late this evening looking for them but apparently Mommy and Daddy had put them to bed already down in a hollowed out tree. I got some pictures of the parents but those babies didn't come out for anything! I will keep watching for them though. I also got a few shots of a blue heron and a egret.

    I love wood ducks!! We put up a house for them behind our previous home but unfortunately coyotes got them :( I hope you get some of the duck family soon and their 11 ducklings!
