Kenzi's First Fishing Trip
Today was the day that "Poppie" had been waiting for for 3 years!!! The first time that Kenzi would be big enough to finally take out fishing and be able to show her what "Poppie" knows best. So after a fun trip to our local Walmart last night to pick up the Dora fishing pole and pretty pink life jacket, "Poppie" and Kenzi were set to go. Both were excited and all was going well until we got to the dock this morning ready to load up in the boat........then the screams started!!! But after a quick trip to the restroom and then Kenzi seeing other children her size getting in the boat beside us, she reluctantly decided to give it a try. It wasn't long before we got to the spot where "Poppie" said there would be fishes. So after a few basic fishing instructions on how to reel in a fish, Kenzi's Poppie had her a fish hooked and fighting. It did not take long on reeling, and a few strange looks on Kenzi's face before she landed a pretty little fish right into the boat! But oh my goodness!!!! You would have thought the scariest monster around just sat down beside her because she came flying back over close to her Nana and wanted no part of that fish!!!! It took some creative and persuasive talking on Poppie's part to even sit beside him and thefish just to get her picture with her prize catch!!! LOL After about an hour though she was more than comfortable being in the boat and I was so thankful that she had to wear that pretty little pink life jacket!! All in all, it was a fun and memorable morning and Kenzi thought driving Poppie's boat was the coolest part of the whole morning!!! LOL Better luck next time Poppie :).

New Camera Technique
I was playing with my new camera tonight and discovered it would do what is called "color accent". This is what I came out with. I am THRILLED to learn how to do this and can't wait to play with this setting more!!!!

A Couple More From Today
Here are a couple of more I got today. I loved the blue sky behind the flowers for a back ground. Then on our way home from Emory this evening I spotted this large African bull of some kind in a pasture under a shade tree. I was amazed at how large his horns were!!! I would sure hate to have him mad at me!!!
Photo Hunt
Christina and I went out driving back roads today looking for things to take pics of. The flower lover that I am always seemed to draw me to the wildflowers. I just LOVE taking pics of flowers. Sadly, I noticed today that summer has just about set in and the pretty flowers are getting harder to find. But I did manage to find a few nice shots I think.
